Genealogy Education

A primary focus of the Yakima Valley Genealogical Society is to provide help and resources to help family historians discover their roots. To accomplish this we offer several educational opportunities.
Monthly meetings with a variety of programs to help you in your research endeavers.
Genealogy Classes.  They consist of 6 two hour classes held once a week March - April); August - September.
Advanced Genealogy Classes, 6 classes held once a month on Sunday afternoons March - August.
An Annual Seminar with a professional speaker.
A Fall Workshop with a selection of several classes.
Special Interest Groups that include the following:
          Brickwall Problem Solving Research Group
          Legacy User's Group
          Writer's Group
